Washington Redskins Helmet

The Redskins have alot of lore in their helmet history.

The Yellow R helmet was designed by Vince Lombardi before his death. He never coached the Redskins before his passing. The intent was for the helmet to resemble the Packers.

Pictures indicate that the 1982 helmet was not worn by all players.

The 2002 home game helmet was supposedly worn due to racial sensitivity reasons tied with FedEX sponsorship. Who knows on that.
